200,000 m2 of room to grow
With production and R&D facilities across 95,000 m2, 35% of the land will be covered in vegetation.
Born out of Mate Rimac’s vision to create the world’s most exciting and powerful electric sports cars and electrified performance components, in just a decade, Rimac Automobili has grown from one man in a garage to a technology powerhouse.
Expanding rapidly over the last decade, we have outgrown our current facilities. Now the time has come to create a space that reflects our values and spirit. We’re now a team of over 1.000 people, each with new ideas and the drive to make them happen. History has shown that great innovations can be developed anywhere. But to give them space to grow, we wanted to create the most inspiring and thought-out location for our team, customers and guests. The Rimac Campus will be our and Greyp Bikes’ new long-term home, only minutes away from our current headquarters, and just on the outskirt of Zagreb, Croatia.
With production and R&D facilities across 95,000 m2, 35% of the land will be covered in vegetation.
The campus is designed around the people. With key facilities and many amenities, it will be a space to work, grow and play.
Creating our long term home is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and requires significant financial resources.
The campus is located in Sveta Nedelja, Croatia, surrounded by nature but still close to the Zagreb city centre.
There will be no walls or fences - everyone is invited to visit, enjoy the campus and mingle with the Rimac employees.
Considerable thought has gone into the new campus's look and feel. This is something Mate Rimac has been personally invested in, as it was his dream since 2013. Since the project took off in 2019, it has been further refined by Mate himself, Rimac management team and partners. In three years during its development, the campus has been through many iterations. To create such a special place from scratch is, after all, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Take a deep dive into the project to learn more about our campus in the making.
We need space to grow and room for more than 2.500 people to work, build, test, rest and play. We need a global headquarters – a mission control – that houses everything from Research & Development, Prototyping and Design to Production, Testing, Management and Administration all in one integrated site. Besides the functional parts of the campus, it will be completed with amenities such as restaurant, kindergarten, sports facilities, stores, hotel and more.
The campus's innovation core is 1100-people research and development hub complete with a Command centre, design studio, labs and VR rooms.
Given the brand’s dedication and passion for mobility, the site will also boast a test track, an e-bike test trail, a customisation showroom, a museum, and will host immersive factory tours.
Rimac is always focused on employee wellbeing and learning. As a result, a games room, sports facilities, restaurant, kindergarten, open spaces and even farm animals have been incorporated in the plans.
In keeping with its sustainability credentials, plans for on-site organic food production have been factored in, as has plenty of park land for both employees and the public to enjoy.
Sharing our dedication and vision, these are the partners that will help us turn this vision into reality.
The architects have taken design inspiration from multiple sources, including the design of our flagship, the C_Two. Their customer-focused and detail-obsessed style of work was instrumental to creating the campus. Together, we bend the rules of the traditional automotive industry.
Protema and partner Drees & Sommer strive for a successfully integrated site development and supply chain planning. They are working closely with Rimac team to incorporate the right industrial and logistics concept and enable the production of electrification systems at large scale.
